Together for Kenya is a relational outreach mission. We have numerous opportunities to meet and to know men, women and children from Kenya.

Several years ago Kate and I visited the compound of Grigori Ejau and his wife. This senior couple were caregivers of their beautiful orphaned granddaughter…Jane. Some were concerned that this couple could care for an HIV+ child. When we visited we saw our answer… Jane was loved and embraced by this couple. With some help and encouragement they will continue to care for Jane as their own.

But we saw something else…. Grigori is a painter; yes a true self-taught painter. His style was that of repetitive designs and patterns which are symbolic of natural objects as animal, plants and landscape. A classic Kenyan pattern.

Yes, Jane is in “good hands.” May the Lord continue to bless this loving and creative family.

Join us in April 2022 for our next voyage to Kenya.
