More Than Just Food
We are dedicated to restoring dignity to our unhoused and food-insecure neighbors across Norfolk.
Our Thursday Lunch Ministry redefines the traditional soup kitchen. Every week in our church basement, volunteers prepare and serve restaurant-quality meals—from shepherd’s pie to personalized birthday cakes—creating a dining experience where the barrier between helper and helped collapses. Through consistent care and fellowship, we ensure every guest is treated as an honored child of God.

Beyond our weekly meals, we actively collaborate across denominational lines. Through initiatives like the annual Harvest for Hope Food Drive—co-led with Second Calvary Baptist Church—our coalition collects thousands of pounds of food for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore to fight local hunger.
Whether you would like to cook, serve, donate non-perishable goods, or learn more about our outreach work, there is a place for you at the table.
