A Missional Priority
At Christ & St. Luke’s, our outreach work grows directly out of listening to our parish and our neighbors. Through our parish-wide Holy Listening process, our congregation identified the local education system as a vital priority for our church community.In response, we established our Education committee to engage directly with local schools and families across Norfolk.
We believe that meaningful support begins with humility and active listening. Rather than imposing quick fixes, our Education committee is currently conducting local outreach—meeting with educators, administrators, students, and neighborhood partners to understand what is happening on the ground and discover where our parish can be most helpful.
Whether through future mentoring, school partnerships, or community advocacy, we are committed to supporting the flourishing of students and educators in our city.
