Environmental Stewardship

At Christ & St. Luke’s, we believe that caring for God’s creation is a divine mandate and an essential part of living out our faith in action. Environmental stewardship stands as one of our core missional priorities in Norfolk.

Our Caring for Creation team leads hands-on initiatives to protect local waterways and foster sustainable living. Key efforts include our partnership with Tidewater Compost to manage compostables and reduce waste, as well as our annual participation in Clean the Bay Day with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to remove litter and debris from local shorelines.

Whether you are interested in local conservation, environmental advocacy, or practicing sustainability at home, we invite you to participate.
