SUMMARY:Queer Theology
DESCRIPTION:We’re a parishioner-led group devoted to exploring queer theology more deeply\, and how members of the LGBTQIA+ community are not just accepted in the Episcopal Church but embraced in God’s love. For more information contact Anders “AJ” Nolan. \nJoin us in the Parlor at Christ & St. Luke’s at noon following the 10:15 service on the second Sunday of each month. \nFor more information\, please contact Anders “AJ” Nolan. \nCheck out some recent blog posts from Christ & St. Luke’s below\, and read more posts here. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n A Queer Theology Reading of Doubting Thomas\n \n \n In this month’s Queer Theology Discussion Group\, we focused on the story of Doubting Thomas in John 20: 19-31. \nread more \n \n \n \n\n \n \n From Raids to Radical Inclusion — Uncovering Norfolk’s Queer History\n \n \n We were honored to welcome parishioner Charles H. SUMMARY:Pub Theology Club
DESCRIPTION:We are a welcoming and diverse group of people\, between the ages of 20 and 40. We hang out\, meet up for brunch\, throw parties\, and support each other no matter what. We typically meet every other Tuesday evening for Pub Theology Club at a local pub. \nPub Theology Club is a community of respect where young adults can explore questions about humanity and the divine without fear and without judgment. \nSometimes we listen to a podcast or read a book and discuss it. Sometimes we ask questions about life and faith. Sometimes we just share what’s on our minds and love and support one another on our unique journeys. \nWant to join us? Contact Will Lee for details or just show up at one of our events and introduce yourself! \nWe accept all and hold strongly to only one idea: that everyone walks their own path in their faith\, and ours is not to dictate that path but to help each other along our own.

SUMMARY:Seasoned Spirits
DESCRIPTION:This group was begun by parishioners who wanted to make deeper connections with other members of their church family who are passing through the middle decades of life. The purpose is to spend time and communion together\, once a month\, and discuss relevant topics\, share mutual interests and experiences\, and grow in fellowship and faith through casual\, lively conversations. So if you have aged out of our wonderful “Pub Club” group for people in their 20’s and 30’s but are still hungry to connect with people\, join us! We will meet on the third Tuesday each month from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Green Onion at 1603 Colley Avenue\, Norfolk. Food and drink available for purchase. For additional information contact Jo Ann Short.
