Hundreds of young children live in the impoverished area surrounding Nazareth Hospital. Given the lack of funding many of these children “stay at home” and are not prepared to enter elementary school. Recently Lydia Wangeci established a preschool for 27 children in her community. With financial help from Together for Kenya Lydia has been able to see that even needy children can have a “head start” on education.
