It is a challenge for teens to find meaningful employment after High School in the remote area of Mutomo Kenya. Several months ago management at Mutomo Mission Hospital were able to bring the “Vocational Trainers” to Mutomo with financial help from Together for Kenya.

Eight young people were selected to attend several months of Food Service training. Teens quickly found that they needed more skills than cooking. During training they were taught food preparation, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and work areas, menu planning, serving and cashiering.

Good news…  all eight graduates have found employment in the food service industry!

Thank you for Together for Kenya and Mutomo staff for boosting the career paths of these youth.
