Nazareth Mission Hospital is a non-profit faith based hospital located in Kiambu County/Nairobi Kenya. Founded in 1964, it has grown into a referral hospital with a capacity of 220 beds and serving 60,000 patients annually.
The population in this area is extremely marginalized and most are employed as laborers in surrounding tea and coffee farms. A total of 1.1 million people live in this area.
Because of equipment shortages Nazareth is limited to only 16 surgeries per day. Surgeries can include orthopedics, urology, OBGYN, Gastro intestinal and ENT…all critically needed.
Together for Kenya in cooperation with The Pilgrim Benefaction Fund has recently provided funding for two additional operating tables and surgical monitors for Nazareth Hospital.
