One of my favorite questions to be asked by parishioners is, “How can I get involved?” It signals a deep desire to give of themselves for the building up of our church and to participate in the work we do both within our walls and without. There is no better question, but an exact answer can be hard to come up with on the spot. There are so many ways to be involved and so many different types of opportunities one could partake in. It depends on people’s time and temperament, their particular interests, and the gifts that they have to share.

This coming Sunday we will answer that question! Virtually every ministry of this parish will be on display at our Annual Fall Ministry Fair. After our 10:15 a.m. service, head on out into the Lychgate garden where you’ll find tables with representatives from each ministry to provide information, invite your participation, and maybe even give you a treat! And this is not just for people who are new to our parish–everyone is invited to come and consider what ways God may be calling them to participate in the building up of the Body of Christ. For it is our hope that every member of our parish is involved in some ministry here. So, please take a few minutes after the service to come and see what ministry may be calling to you this year.

If you are not able to attend this Sunday (or for our 8:00 a.m. parishioners who are not able to return for the Ministry Fair later in the day), please be sure to stop by the bell tower to pick up a Ministry Catalogue which includes a brief description and contact for each ministry.
