More heat waves globally are predicted for the future. About two-thirds of global warming since the 19th century has occurred since 1975. Of deep concern is the affect on the outdoor workers. It has been noted that farm workers, who are frequently exploited anyway, work in the blazing sun and heat and are suffering from dehydration and heat stroke as they try to harvest crops for our food supply. Also suffering are construction workers, mail carriers, garbage collectors, etc. The government needs to develop regulations to protect these workers who are so essential to our lives.
