Dear Christ & St. Luke’s Family,

This weekend we celebrate our “Homecoming” Sunday which is a way of marking the beginning of our program year. We’ve had a robust summer with strong attendance, some really special musical offerings from talented members of our choir and community, a fabulous Week of Wonder, and even a trip to the Tides.

Now, as we all settle into the rhythms of the fall we are very excited to welcome back those whose summer schedules took them away from us and to get started with a full calendar of worship, programming, and events. To help you keep track of all that is going on the next few months we’ve created this booklet. We hope you will enjoy seeing what we have in store and will join us for as many of these offerings as you can.

In the booklet you will discover that our theme for the coming year will be: “To Know and Be Known.” That means we will be focusing on the development of the relationships which sustain our church community:

  • our relationship with God,
  • our relationship with the world around us,
  • and our relationships with one another.

It’s our hope that such a focus will deepen those connections, strengthening our sense of the Spirit which binds us together and helps us to grow in faith, hope, and love. We can’t wait to begin this work with you and show you all the ways we have developed to explore this theme together.

So join us this Sunday for some extra special coffee hour treats (even after the 8:00 a.m. service!) and to learn more about all that is to come.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Noah
