In many communities of rural Kenya nurses perform medical procedures that doctors would do if available… they treat wounds and illnesses, prescribe medications and deliver babies. But there are far too few nurses available to serve the population.
In 2018 Mutomo Hospital established the Mutomo College of Health Science to train nurses and related medical staff. Together for Kenya proudly provided academic scholarships to four students entering the “first” class. Good news…this past month each student has graduated and have been certified by the country of Kenya (KRCHN)
