Natural pest control for your garden is a challenge. You need to be mindful of beneficial beetles, moths and wasps so they are not destroyed. Spraying neem oil works gradually since it causes insects to loose interest in reproducing. Spraying with insecticidal soap kills soft-bodied bugs like caterpillars. (Use a tablespoon of dishwashing soap in a quart of water.) Discourage slugs by dusting leaves and putting a layer of diatomaceous earth around the base of plants. This needs to be replenished after rain. These treatments help balance your ecosystem. Source – Green American
