Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of repentance, prayer, fasting, and preparation for Easter. Our services include the invitation to observe a holy Lent. Many receive ashes — made from last year’s Palm Sunday palms — on the forehead as a sign of mortality and repentance while hearing “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” All are welcome to join in these solemn, reflective services together.
