Christ & St. Luke’s is now a steward of the Heritage Edition of The Saint John’s Bible. This Advent, we will take advantage of this wonderful gift and use it to help reflect on some of the passages central to our understanding of Advent. This forum series will combine two sacred traditions of scriptural interpretation — Visio Divina and Lectio Divina.

Using the words of scripture, and the beautiful illuminations in The St. John’s Bible, we’ll spend some time reflecting together on this season of waiting and anticipation. This forum series will be participatory, with attendees’ input being central to the Visio Divina and Lectio Divina processes. We’ll be aided by our wonderful Christ & St. Luke’s docents of The Saint John’s Bible, who will help unlock some of the rich meaning woven into each illumination.

This class will meet during the 9:15 a.m. Adult Formation hour on November 30, December 14, and December 21.
