As a former throw-away society we are reforming into a recycle people. Beyond paper, glass, aluminum and some plastics, we now recognize that there are other items that do not need to go in the landfill. Appliances, car tires and batteries, electronics and many other items can be recycled. To find out who to call or where to go, check TerraCycle or Earth911.com. There you will find over 100,000 listings. Just search by material and your zip code. And thanks for not wasting your “throw aways.” Source – Green America
