The Rev Kathleen Morrisette Bobbitt

Assisting Priest

The Rev. Kathleen Morrisette Bobbitt (Rev. Kate) and her family joined CSL when she was a teenager and her mother taught Sunday school here. Her husband, Rosser, also grew up in the parish. They were married here and soon afterwards began a twenty-year journey in the military, living in Germany with several stateside assignments. Rev. Kate is a University of Maryland graduate and received her Masters of Divinity from the Virginia Theological Seminary. Prior to joining us at Christ and St. Luke’s Rev. Kate served at Galilee, Virginia Beach. Early in her career she served as Curate and Head of the Parish Day School at Trinity Church, Arlington and Associate Rector at St. John’s, McLean. In 2005, she was called to this diocese and Eastern Shore Chapel as an Associate Rector. She has also served in several important interim capacities in our diocese. Rev. Kate and Rosser have three children: Myra Hope, Foye, and Max (J.R. Bobbitt, IV), two daughters-in-law, Molly and Kasia, and the light of their life, their granddaughter, Helena. Their children live in Norfolk, Boston, and Brussels which affords them many wonderful opportunities for visits and travel. And of course there is their pooch, Laika, who keeps them on their toes!
